Friday the 25th of November is International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and to mark the date, Arfon’s Assembly member Siân Gwenllian visited a centre that runs a national help line, Live Fear Free, located in the Arfon constituency.
Medical consultants endorse Arfon AM's call for Medical School in Bangor
Arfon Assembly Member Siân Gwenllian’s campaign to have a Medical School established in Bangor is gathering momentum and support. Following the endorsements of two medical students last week two highly respected consultants have given their names to the campaign. Dr Rhys Davies is a Consultant Neurologist at Walton, Liverpool; and Mr Phillip Moore is a Consultant Surgeon at the Ear, Nose and Throat Department at Ysbyty Gwynedd, Bangor.

USDAW campaign – ‘Keep Your Cool at Christmas’

Usdaw is a Union of Shop, Distributive and Allied Workers, and their recent annual survey found that more than 300 shopworkers are abused or assaulted simply for doing their job every day.
