Plans for the Primary Care Center have been approved
Gwynedd councillors have approved plans for a new Primary Care Centre in the village of Waunfawr.
Waunfawr’s surgery will be moved from the existing surgery in the village to a new purpose-built center near Cross Farm. The site will include 59 parking spaces.
Siân Gwenllian MS has welcomed the announcement, saying it's good news "after years of campaigning."
“Waunfawr Surgery serves a wide area, and it is important that local people have health facilities fit for the 21st century.
"I have been calling on the Welsh Government to improve health facilities in the village of Waunfawr since my election in 2016.
“On my visits to the practice I have heard stories and testimony from the employees which shows that the practice is no longer fit to serve its patients.
“The new plans are exciting, and I look forward to seeing the plans come to fruition.”
