Siân Gwenllian MS and Hywel Williams MP have congratulated y Felinheli Sailing Club on their recent success.
Y Felinheli Sailing Club has been shortlisted for the RYA Club of the Year award throughout the UK.
In addition, the club has been honoured with a 'Heart of the Community' recognition, given to clubs that support their local communities.
Siân Gwenllian MS said;
“We are very fortunate in such a small area as Arfon to have so many clubs that provide so many fulfilling experiences for local people.
As a resident of the village, I know that the 'Heart of the Community' recognition is well deserved.
I, along with Hywel Williams MP have been standing up for the outdoor activity sector, who have faced very challenging times.
Plaid Cymru MPs in Westminster have recently called on the UK Treasury to step in to save jobs in the outdoor industry.”
